Cabot Cove Cottages + Lobster
This would be the perfect weekend get-a-way. Staying at the Cabot Cove cottages in Kennebunkport, Maine. You stay in a private cottage and they deliver breakfast to your door each morning (I’m a huge fan of that). For the rest of the day, you can hike to lighthouses, swim, sail, go whale-watching, ride bikes, and eat lobster for dinner. It sounds absolutely delightful.
Edgefield
I’ve praised McMenamin brothers before. These guys really know what they are doing when it comes to hotels and a good time. Edgefield (Troutdale, OR) is a century-old complex of buildings that used to be the county poor farm, transformed into relaxed resort.
Hotel San José + Wink
I’ve been thinking about Austin, TX a lot lately. It is a place I’ve never been but anyone who has been and knows me says, “You will love it there.” Who am I to argue? I might as well start planning my trip now. First up is Hotel San José, a hotel with a soul. It’s a lovely mix of modern and retro style. With a fabulous location right next to downtown Austin I think it is the perfect place to chill out and get to know the city.
