Watermelon Slush

I’ve been thinking about adding some sort of food aspect to this blog and boom! now I’m doing it. I’m going to start off with one of my favorite summer-time beverages. First let me tell you about my new friend-Margarita Monsta! This guy is great and we quickly became sort of best friends. I’m betting you can guess by the name exactly what Margarita Monsta is, and you would be right, but it is also so much more! He started his life at Starbucks as a blender (ICB3 ), and now he has been catapulted to greatness. I feel like I’m a one person Jamba Juice now. It’s pretty awesome and I’m pretty sure I make the best smoothies on my block…perhaps even in a 10 mile radius.

Ok so now that I have got you all excited for a smoothie here is a smoothie like recipe. It is more of a slushie but  just as refreshing.

Watermelon Slush

  • about 3 cups of chilled cubed watermelon
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • fresh squeezed lime juice to taste
  • few mint leaves
  • ice or combination of ice and lemonade ice-cubes
  • about a 1 tbls of turbinado sugar

Put all ingredients in your Margarita Monsta! (or equivalent) and blend until smooth!
